Why have roof moss removed?
Heavy moss washes into the gutters and blocks them. Removing it means less ends up there, and the roof looks better.
How do you clean a roof?
There is no single method for every roof, so we visit first. Depending on the tiles and their condition, the job may involve removing the moss by hand, a biocide treatment, suitable low pressure cleaning, or a mix of these.
Where a biocide is used, any staining left on the tiles fades gradually over the following weeks.
What happens to the moss?
Moss and debris that come off the roof are cleared from the gutters, and the ground around the house is tidied up before we leave.

What customers say
5.0 from 24 Google reviewsTop quality work, trust worthy and reliable. Cleans my windows every four weeks. They also clean my patio and my resin driveway yearly along with my gutters, fascia's and soffits. Recently had my roof cleaned by Ultra Clean Exteriors too and did a fantastic job.

Common questions
How much does roof cleaning cost?
From £500, depending on the size and pitch of the roof, the tiles and how much moss there is. We give you a fixed quote after a free site survey. Photos can give you a rough estimate first.
Do you need to visit before giving a price?
Yes. We always carry out a free site survey before giving a fixed quote for a roof. Photos are only used for a rough estimate.
Do you pressure wash roofs?
It depends on the roof. The job may involve removing moss by hand, a biocide treatment or suitable low pressure cleaning.
Will the roof look clean straight away?
The moss that is removed is gone on the day. If a biocide is used, any staining left fades gradually over the following weeks.
How long will the roof stay clear of moss?
It depends on shade, nearby trees and which way the roof faces, so there is no set time.
What if you find damage on the roof?
Sometimes moss hides a cracked or slipped tile. If we notice anything like that, we will tell you. Repairs are a job for a roofer.
