How do you clean a driveway or patio?
We pressure wash the surface and the joints to lift dirt, moss, algae and weeds. On open areas we may use a rotary surface cleaner, then clean the edges, steps and corners separately with a lance.
Will it damage the surface?
The method changes with the surface. The standard doesn’t. Softer stone such as sandstone or limestone gets less pressure than block paving or concrete.
What about the sand in block paving?
Pressure washing takes some sand out of the joints. Where it needs it, we brush kiln dried sand back in once the paving has dried, so this is not always the same day.

Yes, where it needs it, with kiln dried sand. The paving has to be dry first, so sometimes it is done later rather than on the same day.
How long does it take?
A typical domestic driveway often takes around 2 to 3 hours, depending on its size, condition and access. Larger or very dirty areas take longer.
Do you seal driveways?
Sealing is an optional extra where it suits the surface. Most driveways and patios do not need it.
Do you need my outside tap?
We can work from your outside tap, or bring water with us if that is easier.
