Why do gutters need clearing?
Leaves and moss build up until the water cannot reach the downpipe, then the gutter overflows down the wall. Usually once a year is enough, more often with trees nearby.
How do you do it?
With a professional gutter vacuum on a long pole, from the ground. It lifts out the moss, leaves and silt, and blocked downpipes are rodded.
Is it the same as cleaning the outside of the gutters?
No. The outside of the gutters is cleaned with the fascias and soffits, and both can be done on the same visit.

What counts as a side?
Each side of the house with a gutter on it. A mid terrace usually has two, a semi two or three, and a detached house three or four.
Do you use ladders?
Not usually. We clear the gutters from the ground with a gutter vacuum on a long pole.
How often should gutters be cleared?
Usually once a year. With trees nearby, or a lot of moss on the roof, more often. Late autumn, once the leaves are down, is a good time.
Do you unblock downpipes?
Yes. We check them and rod them if they are blocked.
What if you find damaged guttering?
We let you know. We clear gutters, we do not repair them.
